BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (AP) – The National Weather Service has confirmed a relatively weak tornado touched down at a shopping plaza in southwest Ohio, lifting at least five cars, damaging business and other vehicles and injuring two people.

Based on preliminary information, the weather service determined the Tuesday tornado in Beavercreek was rated as EF-1, with a top wind speed estimated at 105 mph. It says nearly two dozen vehicles were damaged, and the two people who were hurt were in vehicles that were rolled by the storm.

TV news video from Dayton outlets showed damaged facades of businesses at the Green Crossing Shopping Center, as well as cars damaged and turned over in the lot. The winds also downed trees and ripped some roofing from homes in a nearby subdivision.
