The Paper City Music Festival returns to Chillicothe this weekend, featuring 30 independent bands from across the nation.

Known for hand-selecting up-and-coming indie artists, the festival has played host to many well-known acts before they hit the big time, including Shovels and Rope, He’s My Brother She’s My Sister and the Kopecky Family Band.

This year’s lineup boasts several standout performers, including Anderson East of Athens, Alabama, currently touring in support of his new album Delilah. Joining East are several artists from the Nashville area, including The Wans, Goodbye June, Chrome Pony and Bad Cop.

Ohio will be well-represented by acts like The Speedbumps (Kent), DJ B-Funk (Athens), Lemon Sky (Cincinnati) and Chillicothe’s own Gypsy Jug Band and Crossroad Station.
