MANSFIELD, Ohio (AP) – Records show a drone that dropped a package of drugs into an Ohio prison yard while inmates were outside was the third incident involving unmanned aerial vehicles this year.

The package sparked a fight after it was dropped July 29 at the Mansfield Correctional Institution. Prison officials said it contained nearly a quarter of an ounce (7 grams) of heroin, over 2 ounces (57 grams) of marijuana and more than 5 ounces (140 grams) of tobacco.

Records show a corrections officer at North Central Correctional Institution near Marion found a wrecked drone May 31 containing more than 6 ounces of marijuana. Another drone, which may not have carried contraband, was found by an inmate in January at the Franklin Medical Center in Columbus.
