CINCINNATI (AP) – A southwest Ohio county’s elections board plans to examine what caused problems last week that disrupted some voters’ efforts to cast their ballots.

The Hamilton County board of elections set a special meeting for Tuesday, a week after possibly thousands of voters ran into issues with a new electronic check-in system.

Elections officials say everyone who wanted to vote should have been able to, even if they had to use provisional ballots. However, voters complained about delays and other issues at polling stations where some have voted for years.

Officials have blamed a “learning curve” for poll workers. Secretary of State Jon Husted (HYOO’-sted) wants a report from the county board by Dec. 11.

A judge extended voting Nov. 3 for 90 minutes in the county that includes Cincinnati.
