Opening Reception for Athens Rock Camp for Girls July 6
< < Back toAthens Rock Camp for Girls has been creating music and art with women, girls, and gender nonconforming youth for the past 7 years.
In their Past, Present, & Future exhibit at ARTS/West, on display during the month of July, we seek to showcase some of that talent with art made by their after school program participants, former and current campers, instructors and young folks in our community who will be coming to rock camp for the first time.
Also featured in the show will be enlarged photos of Rock Camp bands over the years, original flyers, lyrics created by campers, and a scrapbook with some of our earliest organizing memories. We will also be debuting our new video during our July 6 opening and showing footage of final concerts from years past.
The opening reception is Thursday, July 6, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served and music will be provided by DJ Gino Valentino.
Photos and some select artwork will be for sale.
