Stuart’s Opera House in Nelsonville, Ohio is now accepting applications for students interested in becoming a part of the Stuart’s After School Music Program (AMP) classes starting in September 2017!

The program is expanding this year to include instruction in traditional Appalachian Music through a partnership with the Athens Public Libraries, this will be in addition to the rock ‘n’ roll track continuing. Students will learn to play instruments (guitar, drums, bass, keyboards, fiddles, banjos, vocals, and more) receiving instruction from area musicians and teachers.

No previous experience is needed and the program is FREE. Stuart’s AMP is open to all Athens County students ages 13-18, but priority enrollment will be given to Nelsonville-York students. Applications and more information are available by contacting Emily Prince at (740) 753-1924 or emily@stuartsoperahouse.org. Applications are also available at the Stuart’s office, on our website, and all seven Athens County Public Library branches. Space is limited, so we ask that you turn in applications as soon as possible.
