More than 100 Arrested During Athens Block Party Weekend

Just over 100 people are facing charges related to alcohol after Athens’ annual Halloween block party.
The Athens Police Department arrested 12 people Saturday night.
Ohio University Police arrested 9 people related to alcohol and marijuana.
The Ohio Department of Public Safety officers made 83 alcohol-related arrests on Friday and Saturday.
The block party ended around 1 a.m. according to a news release from city officials.
Fire and EMS crews responded to a total of 20 calls for service.
