Bowald is one of the organizers of The Winding Road an organization that promotes tourism in Appalachia through the rich history, stories and landscape of the region. He stopped by the WOUB studio to talk about Rising Appalachia, the architectural significance and stories of the region and tell us about an upcoming event, History Behind the Mystery. This is a tour that takes the explorer behind the scenes of some of the eerie supernatural stories of areas like Moonville, the area now known as The Ridges and the site of Mt Nebo.
