LOGAN, Ohio (WOUB) — Within a week of starting the school year, three employees with the Logan-Hocking School District are under quarantine and dealing with COVID-19.

Supt. Monte Bainter, Logan-Hocking School District [LHSD]
Superintendent Monte Bainter is the most recent staff member to test positive.

In a letter to parents and staff Bainter says he was tested Friday and informed of his status on Saturday.

He says he is asymptomatic but came in contact with someone with the virus.

A non-teaching employee at Logan-Hocking Middle School and an employee at the central office who is “presumed to be positive” are also quarantining at their homes.

The Hocking County Health Department says it is working on contact tracing for the current cases and the schools and offices are being cleaned and sanitized.

Students returned to school on August 24th with both in-class and remote learning.
