The unofficial 2021 General Election results for Coshocton County

COSHOCTON  COUNTY, Ohio (WOUB) – Unofficial election results are in for Coshocton, with 7,328 ballots cast and 33% voter turnout.

In the city of Coshocton, Thomas A. Barcroft, Michelle Turner Ganz and Glenn Mishler defeated Robert P. Leist and Rick Williamson to take the City’s three available at-large council seats.

The contested township trustee races in Coshocton County include those in Bethlehem, Clark, Jackson, West Lafayette, Linton Plainfield, White Eyes and Tiverton.

In Bethlehem, Cal M. Shrimplin and Curt Pope defeated James A. Hoy and Mark A. McCombs Sr. for the two available trustee seats. In Clark, Chris Williamson and Ty Myers defeated Hilton A. Eppley Jr. for the two available trustee seats.

In Jackson, Dexter Conkle and Tom Webb defeated Cord Stottlemire for the two available trustee seats. In Lafayette and West Lafayette, James Schumaker and Tracy Schlarb defeated three opponents, Gary H. Buchanan, Jr., Gordan Ray Dillon, Jr. and Mark A. McCombs, for the two available trustee seats. 

In Linton Plainfield, Garry H. Buchanan and H. Gene Jones defeated David Scott for the two available trustee seats. In White Eyes, John Scott Thomas and Kurt Wyler defeated R. Christopher McCabe for the two available trustee seats.

There were multiple board of education races in Coshocton County, with those in Newcomerstown, West Holmes, Coshocton City, River View and Tri Valley were all contested.

In the Newcomerstown race, Thomas Addy, John P. Marstrell and Joshua D. Kennedy defeated Derek M. Booth, Steven Brode and Arlene Mayhew to take the three available board of education seats. In West Holmes, Hans Ramseyer, Micah Snyder and Tina Zickefoose defeated Andrew D. Jones for the three available board of education seats.

In Coshocton City, Jere W. Butcher and Susan L. Mann defeated H. Tad Johnson for the two available board of education seats. In Tri Valley, Andrea Frueh Collet and Luke Davis defeated Jason P. Schaumleffel for the two available school board seats.

Besides Conesville’s and Baltic’s proposed tax levy renewals, along with levies for the West Holmes Local School District and Ashland County-West Holmes Career Center, all other levies on the ballot in Coshocton County passed.
