SUMMARY:ARTS/West Music Lending Library Benefit
DESCRIPTION:ARTS/West wants to provide affordable access to instruments for Athens community members. This fundraiser is to start and grow the Instrument Lending Library. If you plan on attending\, Sadie Meade will be screen-printing live from 9-11pm onto any apparel you bring as long as it’s made of 100% cotton. Bring a t-shirt to get an instrument library design print or buy an instrument themed holiday card to support the cause! The all-night rock show will be starring Red Lake\, Speedwalk Jerry\, The Revulvas\, and The Caitlin Kraus band. This head-banging performance should make your ears-split with sounds coming from the very instruments we’d like to lend you. So come get rowdy to support a good cause with intense music and live screen-print.

DESCRIPTION:  \nLocal Girls Community Christmas Concert at Southeast Ohio History Center \nThe Southeast Ohio History Center is happily hosting The Local Girls Annual Community Christmas Concert on Sunday\, December 10 at 2pm. \nThe Local Girls accompanied David Bromberg\, performed at the White House\, and provided music for two award-winning series on NPR\, as well as PBS-TV. A Prairie Home Companion gig was one of their favorites. In the summer of 2004\, The Local Girls performed throughout Germany\, Austria and France and on the streets of Vienna. They have been described as “a soundfest of three-part harmony that is so good it can make you cry with joy”\, by local musician\, Roman Warmke. \nThe Local Girls\, Mimi Hart\, Gay Dalzell and Brenda Catania will be joined by musicians Kyle Slemmer\, Mark Hellenberg\, and their tried and true backup band of Michael McGannon and Terry Douds. \nThe concert will have a special appearance by Sarah Hart\, a singer/songwriter whose songs have been recorded by many. Hart performed\, by special request\, for Pope Francis at the Vatican. Now the Local Girls and Sarah Hart are here to play for their own beloved community at our own Southeast Ohio History Center. What a beautiful venue! Please join them in singing.
