SUMMARY:Carriage Hill Fire Fundraiser Yardsale
DESCRIPTION:The Salvation Army will be holding a fundraiser sale for the victims of the Carriage Hill fire.  In consultation with the families impacted by the fire\, we have decided to make excess fire response donations available to the public via a “yard sale” in order to raise cash donations for the Carriage Hill victims. Items include new and gently used clothing and small household goods\, as well as some small furniture items. \nThis fundraiser will allow the donations which were not useful to the fire victims to be translated into much needed cash as they rebuild their lives after this emergency. All proceeds will be directly distributed to the impacted families. Additional cash donations will also be accepted at this event. \nThe sale will be held at the Pool House at the Athens Community Center\, 701 E State St in Athens. We will be open the following hours: \nFriday\, March 17: 1:00pm-7:00pm \nSaturday\, March 18: 10:00am-5:00pm \nClothing and small items will be available at $5/bag (bags provided on site) \nOther items available as marked. \nVolunteers interested in assisting with the sale may contact Cheska Brown at 740-797-1305 or via email at cheskaboden21@gmail.com. DESCRIPTION:Friends of Lower Muskingum River will be holding our 2nd Annual Dinner Celebration and Fundraiser beginning at 5:30 pm on Saturday\, March 18th at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Marietta. The evening will kick off with a wine social\, followed by dinner catered by Ohio Foothills Custom Catering. After dinner\, there will be a short presentation discussing our accomplishments for the year and our plans for the future. This will be followed by our guest speaker for the evening\, Rich Sidwell from the Captina Conservancy. Rich will tell the his inspiring story about his part in the consevation of Raven Rocks in Belmont County. We will end the night with a 50/50 drawing.\nCost for the dinner is $35 per person. Please RSVP by March 10th by mailing a check to our office or dropping a check off at our booth at the Marietta Farmer’s Market.
