DESCRIPTION:The American Red Cross in Athens will hold its 9th annual Hometown Heroes Breakfast on Nov. 14 at the Community Center. Doors open at 7 a.m. This year we are honoring: Group Hero\, the Baby Friendly group from O’Bleness Hospital; Community Hero: Tim Peacock; Public Safety Heroes Lt. Nick Magruder and officer Justin Boggs; Community Hero\, Catherine Hauschild; Healthcare Hero\, Eliza Harper; Community Hero\, Kevin Dennis; Community Hero\, Joe Pallo; Education Hero\, Greg Sikorski; Senior Adult Hero\, Helen Swaim; and the Sandy Shirey Volunteer Award will go to Evelyn McKnight\, Margaret Shields\, and Kirk Greenfield. Individual tickets are $20.00\, tables are $175.00 and corporate sponsorships are available on different levels.
