Skaters will be on site to answer any of your roller derby questions!\nAthens Ohio Roller Derby (AORD) is a skater owned and operated amateur non-profit organization comprised of women+ from Athens\, Ohio and the surrounding region in the form of an amateur roller derby league following the rules and ethics set forth by the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). AORD consists of two teams\, The Appalachian Hell Betties and The Black Diamond Betties.\n\nWe are a grassroots organization built by the hands of women who have and will continue to inspire the love of roller derby to their community. AORD is committed to fostering the empowerment of people of all races\, colors\, national origins\, gender expression\, sexual orientation\, ages\, and body types by serving as positive athletic role models. We accept those who wish to referee\, compete\, skate recreationally\, and/or participate off-skates. An individual who identifies as a trans woman\, intersex woman\, and/or gender expansive may skate with AORD if women’s flat track roller derby is the version and composition of roller derby with which they most closely identify.

DESCRIPTION:The Blue Blaze Festival is more than a run. Join us for the 2022 Buckeye Trail (BT) – Blue Blaze Festival to celebrate the diversity of the BT. Trails in the Wayne National Forest\, as part of the New Straitsville section of the BT are mostly single-track trail\, there are many types of trail users. The Blue Blaze Festival will be highlighting the BT as a outdoor distention for running\, hiking and backpacking. \nThis year there will be five options for a distance and trail challenge right for you: Half Marathon\, 10K\, 5K run/walk\, 10 Mile Hike and an overnight Backpacking experience. All events are on the Buckeye Trail in the Wayne National Forest.

DESCRIPTION:UCM Center’s  Soup for the Soul has the theme of collaboration and connections this semester. Long before students from diverse backgrounds had ‘a room of their own’ on campus at Ohio University\, UCM staff members were providing support and laying the groundwork for what was to come at the university. This work was done and is still done through collaboration and connections.  At Soup for the Soul\, participants will hear from those working daily to make the lives of diverse OU students better while planting seeds of change in allies and advocates. Lunch is provided: vegetarian soup\, salad\, and bread.  \nWednesdays from Noon – 1:00 p.m.  \nOctober 5 with Micah McCarey from the LGBT Center. \nOctober 26 with Chris Fowler from the Women’s Center.  \nNovember 16 with Winsome Chinnu from the Multicultural Center.
