SUMMARY:Juggernaut Jug Band
DESCRIPTION:The Juggernaut Jug Band from Carrollton\, KY will open the 2026 portion of the Ironton Council for the Arts 2025-26 performance season on Sunday\, February 1 at 3 pm in the Ohio University Southern Bowman Auditorium. Admission is $15 payable at the performance with cash\, card\, or check payable to the “Ironton Council for the Arts” and admission is free for students and children of all ages. \nDedicated to preserving the music\, spirit and humor of the original Louisville Jug Bands of the early 1900’s\, the Juggernaut Jug Band was formed over thirty years ago. Today\, it is known as the only full-time touring jug band. \nWith the traditional instrumentation of guitars\, mandolins\, banjos\, bass and vocals\, jug bands added one strange twist—the sound of blowing the jug. If that wasn’t enough\, they topped it off with perhaps a washboard\, washtub bass\, kazoos\, nose flutes and whatever else was available. The Juggernauts have continued in this tradition of having fun. With each performance\, the band invites the audience to have as much fun as the band. Don’t let their antics fool you though! Their exuberant music is the result of skillful arrangements and unique vocal harmonies.

DESCRIPTION:It’s playtime at The Nest!\n\nBreak the routine\, get out of the house and come let your little ones play in a fresh space while you get to talk with other grown-ups for awhile!\n\nCome and go as you please anytime during our open play hours.  Toys and activities are geared towards babies and toddlers but older siblings are welcome to come along.\n\nWhile you’re here\, peruse the lending library of books\, DVDs and even baby carriers free to borrow!\n\nTuesdays masks are optional\, while Thursdays are mask-only for those who prefer a “mask-on” environment.\n\nDisinfectant wipes are always available and we have a tub for toys that have been “mouthed” so they can be washed before future use.\n\nA changing table and toddler potty are available as well as a bottle warmer and fridge for storing formula/milk.

The Addams clan – Morticia\, Gomez\, Wednesday\, Pugsley\, Grandmama\, and Lurch the Butler – one day receive a visit from Gomez’s long-lost brother Uncle Fester. Or\, so they think! The visitor is actually Gordon Craven\, the son of a con-artist and a dead-ringer for the missing Fester\, who has shown up at the Addams estate in order to sniff out a vault wherein lies the Addams’s fortune. However\, the underhanded heist starts to unravel when Gomez and Morticia begin to suspect something weird about Mr. Craven…it may be that he is family\, after all!
