DESCRIPTION:Wild Kratts: Adventures with the Tortuga\n\nFrom Dinosaurs to Today: How Turtles Survive!\n\nTravel from the age of dinosaurs to today with PBS KIDS and WOUB Learning Lab! In this Wild Kratts adventure\, children will explore the high-tech Tortuga\, learn about real turtles (often called living fossils)\, and discover how they have survived since the time of dinosaurs. Through videos\, stories\, hands-on building\, and creative problem-solving\, participants will design and build solutions to help turtles overcome modern environmental challenges\, such as road crossings.\n\nThe Plains Library 4:00-5:00pm

We have lots of different programming\, robotics\, building\, and electronics projects to choose from\, or you can mix and match and follow your creativity! Hydraulic claws\, animated cardboard bears\, programming games in Scratch\, working with the microbit robotic cars\, and lots more. Volunteer mentors will be available to help get you started and guide you along the way. Free with museum admission or OVMoD members. \nGeared towards participants in rising 5th grade and up (adults welcome too!)\, 2nd-4th graders are welcome with an accompanying adult.
