Enjoy the new obstacle course and recreation grounds\, a pig roast and farm to table fair featuring locally grown mulberry products\, a local craft beer garden\, live music\, local art\, and great entertainment.  The fun begins at 12pm and goes til dark. Admission is $10/person (proceeds benefit Rising Appalachian Warriors youth programming).  Limited onsite parking is available for a fee. A free shuttle (15 passenger van) will run every 20 minutes from the Athens County Job and Family Services parking lot on 13.

DESCRIPTION:The Ohio University LGBT Center\, Southeast Ohio LGBTQ+ Center and the Southeastern Ohio LGBT Coalition have joined in glittery collaboration to host the first ever Pride Rally and the 3rd Annual Athens Pride Picnic. This is a celebration in honor of Pride Month and an opportunity to come together as a rainbow community. All are welcome to participate in Day 3 of Athens Pride Fest! \nThe weekend of events\, especially the Rally and Picnic\, are solidarity events with the National Equality March for Unity and Pride taking place on June 11 in Washington\, DC. To learn more about the national march: http://www.equalitymarch2017.com/ \nThe Rally will take place at 2pm on College Green by the Civil War Monument and is an opportunity for LGBTQA+ SE Ohioans to be loud and proud as we celebrate all things rainbow and queer! Hear her remarkable stories of firefly courtship and romance\, poison and even deceit. Program content is sophisticated enough to appeal to adults & interesting enough to engage children\, so don’t hesitate to bring the entire family. \nCost: $15 adults\, $3 youths 6 to 16\, children 5 and under are free. For quick entry and confirmed seating\, please register ahead. \nThe talk will be followed by an optional catered dinner and firefly viewing at the Highlands Nature Sanctuary\, just 4 miles from the Paxton Theatre.
