SUMMARY:Model Rocketry Club Launch
DESCRIPTION:The WVSOAR (West Virginia Southern Ohio Amateur Rocketry club will hold its final rocket launch at the Bob Evans Farm in Rio Grande\, Ohio on Saturday\, November 14th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.   Model rockets of all sizes and strengths will be launched by members periodically through the day\, weather permitting. The event is open to the public to come visit the farm or eat at the nearby Bob Evans Restaurant across the street from the launch field. Those wishing to use the club facilities to launch their own rockets may do so for a day pass of $5.  A vendor will be on location to sell any additional motors or materials needed\, or to sell those interested an entry level rocket kit for their assembly.  The club supplies all launch pads and has an FAA clearance for this date and location to launch to 10\,000 ft above sea level.  For more information\, go to WVSOAR NAR Section 564 on facebook\, or look for our event record as well.  Annual club membership that waives daily launch fees is $20 and is open to all ages or families.

DESCRIPTION:This hands-on experience will begin with students using 2D patterns to create 3D forms.  Layered onto template making and construction\, Jennifer will demonstrate various ceramic surface treatments.  Participants will be creating their own texture tool using foam sheets\, as well as using sprig molds\, piercing through and carving the clay.  Jennifer will also discuss how personal content can be applied to student’s individual Keepsake Boxes using the techniques above\, design and form. \nThis workshop is designed for youth ages 12 and older.
