DESCRIPTION:Time to let out your inner athlete and show the world what you’ve got! \nThe YMCA of Parkersburg’s Indoor Triathlon is a great event for newbies and seasoned veterans alike to compete in swimming\, biking\, and running (in our pool and on our stationary bikes and treadmills). Our triathlon is a modified version of a regular triathlon\, in which there are no fixed distances you must complete. Compete at the speeds you are comfortable with\, for as far a distance as you can within the fixed time periods. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTriathlon Details\nJunior\, Adult & Senior Divisions will be available for competitors: \n●     Junior Division: ages 12-17 \n●     Adult Division: ages 18-59 \n●     Senior Division: ages 60+ \nThe Triathlon will measure the distance traveled for each competitor within a 1-HR time span: \n●     10 min of lap swims in our 25-yard indoor pool. \n●     30 min of cycling on our stationary bikes. \n●     20 min of running on our treadmills. \nThe participant to travel the furthest distance within the fixed time periods will receive the most points. Each athlete will receive a score based on distances completed in each section\, plus an overall score for the ranking. Gold\, Silver\, and Bronze medals will be awarded to both males and females for each of the 3 divisions for a total of 18 medals. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nChoose your date & time.\nParticipants have the option to select the day and time they’d like to participate through online or in-person registration. To maintain social distancing\, each start time below will be limited to 4 people. \nSaturday\, March 12th: \n9:00 AM\, 10:00 AM\, 11:00 AM\, 1:00 PM\, 2:00 PM\, and 3:00 PM \nSunday\, March 13th:  \n1:00 PM\, 2:00 PM\, 3:00 PM \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTrain for the Triathlon.\nTo get ready for the Triathlon\, we recommend an 8-week training program\, which comes included in your registration for the Triathlon. The experience will include making craft items to take home. When their “work” is done\, they will participate in popular outdoor children’s games from the 1800s.
