SUMMARY:Community Open Studio: Botanical Gelli Prints at Kennedy Museum of Art
DESCRIPTION:Gelli Prints are one-of-a-kind monotypes made by applying paint to a reusable\, gel-like printing plate and transferring the design onto paper. In this session\, led by artist and educator Mateo Galvano with studio assistants from the School of Art + Design\, we will use botanical samples such as plant cuttings\, leaves\, and flowers\, along with found items and cut-out shapes\, which are gently pressed into the surface and lifted away to create colorful\, poetic images. \nSeating is limited: please register using this form.
