B345 Shibori with Indigo (Includes both Virtual and In-Person)

This workshop INCLUDES  both the Virtual (B344 Shibori) on August 21th from 3:00pm-5:00pm and In-Person component on Saturday, September 9th from 10:00am-5:00pm.

In this workshop, Quilt National ‘23 exhibiting artist, Sue Cortese demonstrates shibori fabric dyeing techniques including pole-wrapping (Arashi), clamping (Itajime), bound (Kumo), and stitched shibori.  The first workshop day will meet via Zoom and cover the essentials of stitched shibori; planning, drawing out a pattern, stitching, and gathering. The second workshop day will be in-person at The Dairy Barn during the closing weekend of Quilt National ‘23 and features demonstrations of the bound styles, Arashi, and Itajime.
