The Brass Band of the Tri-State, under the direction of Dr. Michael Stroeher, who is also Professor of Low Brass at Marshall University, will present its annual fall concert on Tuesday, October 21, at 7:30 p.m. in Smith Music Hall Recital Hall at Marshall. Admission is free and a free will offering will be taken to assist with purchasing music.

Works to be performed include Festival Prelude – IN GOOD COMPANY, A Gaelic Blessing, Danceries, Little Suite for Brass, Amazing Grace, Ronda Alla Turca and Blue Rondo a la Turk.

The ensemble performs a variety of music representing several styles and genres including traditional brass band music from England and North America, original pieces arranged specifically for the band, musicals, marches, orchestral transcriptions, Salvation Army Band music, and popular selections. Each year they perform a fall concert, a Christmas concert, two spring concerts, and for the West Virginia Symphony’s annual Symphony Sunday in Charleston, WV the first Sunday in June.
