String Therapy to replace Juggernaut Jug Band May 10 in Ironton

May 10 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
$15

String Therapy, a popular, progressive Bluegrass band and Tri-state mainstay, will perform on Sunday, May 10 at 3 pm in the Ohio University Southern Bowman Auditorium. This is the final performance of the Ironton Council for the Arts 2025-26 performance season. They will replace the Juggernaut Jug Band who had to cancel their May 10 Ironton performance due to the sudden, serious illness of a band member. Season tickets will be honored for this performance. Non-season ticket holders can pay the $15 admission with cash, card or check at the performance and it’s free for students of all ages and children.

String Therapy recently opened for Sam Bush, the founder of progressive Bluegrass, at the Paramount Arts Center in Ashland, KY. They refer to themselves as a progressive Bluegrass band in the same vein as their heroes who have influenced their sound including Tony Rice, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Bela Fleck, and New Grass Revival. They also play an occasional rock song such as a Beatles or an Allman Brothers Band tune.
