SUMMARY:Summer Kids' Program
DESCRIPTION:Children ages 6-12 are invited to participate in the Ross County Historical Society’s 2018 Summer Children’s program titled “Becoming an Apprentice: Making a Living in Early Ohio.” Participants will travel back in time to when children learned trades under the guidance of master craftsmen. Children will engage in hands-on activities learning the historical trades of the carpenter\, the tailor\, the seamstress\, and the rope maker. The experience will include making crafts to take home and enjoy. Participants willl also participate in popular outdoor children’s games of the 1800s. Refreshments will be served. \n\nCost: Payment required – Registration is $10 and includes a year’s membership to the Ross County Historical Society’s Junior Member Program. Space is limited and advanced registration is required. Call 740-772-1936 to register. The registration deadline is Monday\, July 23.
