She is most proud of her work to improve fairness in school funding\, which was particularly important in southeastern Ohio\, where funding inequity has been pronounced. \nPrior to her distinguished House service\, Phillips was founding Executive Director of the Ohio Fair Schools Campaign\, which was hosted through Rural Action and worked to promote quality public education. DESCRIPTION:On April 2nd\, the Hocking River Conservancy along with Rural Action will be planting 3900 trees along the Hocking River near Logan\, and we need your help! These trees will be planted to reclaim an old field on the banks of the Hocking River\, bringing back an important riparian buffer back to the ecosystem. These trees will serve to filter runoff\, provide a habitat to native animals\, and provide important nutrients to the stream. \nVolunteers can meet at the Rural Action office\, located at 9030 Hocking Hills Dr. in the Plains\, and caravan to the site. The caravan will depart at 8:30 a.m. Volunteers can also travel to the site at their own convenience.
