DESCRIPTION:News Release – New Rehearsal Location  \nStarting September 4th\, Athens County Community Singers\, a Choir for All Voices (ACCS)\, and non-profit organization will begin rehearsals. Come join the choir! Rehearsals are at the following locations:  \n\nEchoing Connections on Columbus Road (Wednesdays from 9:30 am to 10:15 am) \nNEW – Vicinity Ministries on Connett Road in The Plains (Thursdays from 1:15 pm to 2:00 pm). \n\nFounder and director\, Stephanie H. Morris\, MM\, MT-BC (Music Therapist-Board Certified) and Neurologic Music Therapy Fellow states\, “We are so grateful to everyone at Vicinity Ministries for partnering with us for rehearsal space. It will be a great venue for people of all abilities who love to sing. Our choir is not only about performing but enjoying a good time rehearsing for our performances.”  \nStephanie also shares that as a member\, you do not need any special skills or to be able to read music. ACCS is a music-performing group for those with and without disabilities. The only requirement to be in this group is to love making music! Stephanie emphasizes that this is a community choir and invites anyone (18 years and older) in and around Athens County to join. Registration forms are available on the Athens County Community Singers’ Facebook group page or on the Programs and Consultation page at https://centralohiomusictherapy.com/.  \nChoir members have said that this group means a great deal to them and is a wonderful social outlet where they interact with their friends. The choir has been invited to perform at The Indian Mound Festival in The Plains\, the Beacon School Transition Fair\, Community Singalongs (to be announced) as well as holiday concerts in and around the community in December.  \nOur mailing address is P. DESCRIPTION:The Athens County Community Singers\, a “choir for all voices” and non-profit organization is hosting their Spring Rock n Roll Concert at the Coolville People’s Club on Thursday\, May 18 at 5:00 p.m.  This fundraising event will be selling food (hot dogs\, chips\, watermelon\, etc.) and hosting a movie ticket raffle.  Donations will also be accepted in order to assist the choir in meeting their end of year expenses.  All donations are tax deductible.  Chris Biester\, one of Athens’ well known performers\, will be featured and many in the choir are singing solos and playing instruments.  You don’t want to miss it!
