The Ohio Department of Transportation says resurfacing work on various roads in Belmont County is set to begin next Monday and will continue through this summer.

More than 11 miles of U.S. Route 40 will be resurfaced from County Road 100 to the city of St. Clairsville's west corporation line. About three miles of State Route 149 will also be surfaced from SR 147 to U.S. 40 at Morristown.

This project will cost ODOT $3.8 million and is expected to be completed by August 31.

The ODOT says SR 149 will be resurfaced for another six miles from U.S. 40 to the village of Flushing's south corporation line, and SR 331 will be resurfaced from SR 149 to just west of Uniontown. ODOT says this work is expected to cost $2.2 million and will be complete by July 31.
