The Trimble Lady Tomcats finished this past week with two big wins and one loss. The Lady Tomcats improved their record to 5-4 on the season and moved to 3-3 in the conference.

On the 14th, the Lady Tomcats played their second home game of the season as they took on the Wahama Lady White Falcons. Trimble would put up a great performance for the home crowd as they would cruise to a 61-20 win. This improved their home record to 1-1 on the season.

Then on the 17th, the Lady Tomcats would take a tough 60-51 loss to the Lady Golden Eagles. This was a close game throughout but Belpre was able to pull out the win in the end. The Lady Tomcats will get a chance to redeem themselves though, as they will be taking on Belpre at home on the 25th of January.

Trimble would stay on the road yet again on the 19th, as it would get a win over South Gallia 50-40. This game would push Trimbles record above .500 to 5-4. For Trimble, this was their seventh road game in only their ninth game of the season, so it is safe to say that the Lady Tomcats are road tested.

First year head coach Joe Richards is doing a great job this season as he is bringing a young team with a couple a veteran leaders together. The Lady Tomcats are only two wins away from reaching their last year total of seven wins and that is a great sign, as they are only nine games into their season.

Coach Richards is also only three wins away from reaching last seasons conference win total of six. With 11 conference games and 13 total games left on the season, it seems as if the Lady Tomcats are on the right path to success and should be improving on last year’s 7-15 record and their 6-10 TVC-Hocking record.
