Host Kelee Riesbeck sits down with filmmaker and OU professor Pearl Gluck about her research on sex trafficking in the United States and how that has inspired her new film, The Turn Out.

The film centers around a trucker who tries to save the life of a girl who is being sex-trafficked at his local truck stop.

Gluck conducted her research through talking to trafficking victims, prosecutors, state legislators, and the eyes through which the film's story is told, the truckers whom these traffickers are often soliciting.

Gluck is also known for her films Where is Joel Baum? (2012), Williamsburg (2006), and Divan (2003).

To see clips of the film and a chance to donate, check out The Turn Out Kickstarter page, which is open until June 28th.
