Joseph Cherico, a member of the Ohio cross country team, pled guilty to a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct after an incident this past Sunday.

The 21-year-old was cited early Sunday morning by Athens City Police on Court Street. He paid a $40 fine.

Men's cross country coach Clay Calkins had no comment when WOUB inquired about Cherico's arrest. Whether Cherico will receive disciplinary action is unclear at this time.

The senior from Strongsville, Ohio participated in five meets last year, with his best finish being a top five in the Ohio Open.
