Tonight’s game in the TVC-Hocking region featured the Southern Tornadoes (1-5) going on the road to take on the Miller Falcons (0-6).Miller is looking for their first win of the season against a struggling Southern team in what could be their best chance of the year to get a win.

Action happened early and often for both teams as Miller had problems holding onto the football. They muffed the opening kickoff, but were still able to return it to the 38 yard line.

They then fumbled on that drive and Southern took over with great starting field position, but could not take advantage.

Miller was able to strike first on a touchdown run by RB Jakob Bond, but they had the PAT blocked to make it 6-0 Miller.

Southern would come right back again starting in great field position at their own 43 yard line. On fourth down and six, Southern decided to go for it and completed a 26 yard TD pass and made the PAT to go up 7-6 at the beginning of the second quarter.

After a Miller punt, Southern made another drive starting off with a 34 yard completion on 3rd down and 24 to keep their drive alive. They then pulled out a little trickery and completed a HB pass for 28 yards down to the Miller 15. After a couple more plays, they ran it in on a 5 yard TD run to go up 14-6.

Miller was not done yet though, as they started their half-ending drive from their own 21 and drove 79 yards to score a TD on a 10 yard TD pass from QB Dakota Bond to his cousin, RB Jakob Bond for his second TD of the game.

Miller would go for two, but could not punch it in which made the score 14-12 Southern at halftime.

Southern would add another touchdown in the second half, but miss the extra point and would go on to win 20-12. Southern gets their second win of the season while Miller stays at the bottom of the TVC-Hocking and still looks for their first win of the season.
