Football: Ohio/Central Michigan preview

Because Temple beat Miami (OH) on Wednesday, Ohio holds a full game lead over both those teams in the MAC East with three games remaining. First up for the 'Cats is a trip to Mt. Pleasant, Mich, to play the Chippewas of Central Michigan.
The Chips have had the Bobcats' number; Ohio has lost its last four match-ups with CMU, and Central has a 21-4-2 record all-time against Ohio. Frank Solich has never beaten the Chippewas – he's 0-4 in his seven years at Ohio.
The last time Ohio beat Central Michigan was October, 13, 2001, a 34-3 win in Mt. Pleasant.
Ohio's offense is on pace to be the best scoring offense in Bobcat history. Ohio has scored 290 points in 2011, which is already good for the 10th-highest point total all-time in a single-season. The 32.2 points-per-game average is third all-time.
The 1968 Bobcat team has the record for highest point total in a single-season, with 376 points scored in just 10 games. That team, led by quarterback Cleve Bryant, played in the Tangerine Bowl, where it lost to Richmond 49-42.
Defensive tackle Neal Huynh and wide receiver Donte Foster (concussion) are the only notable injuries this week for Ohio, as Frank Solich's squad has gotten progressively healthier since its losses to Buffalo and Ball State.
The game is televised on ESPNU, and the kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

The next touchdown pass for quarterback Tyler Tettleton will make him Ohio's single-season leader in passing TDs. He's also 133 yards away from holding the single-season passing yards mark.
Ohio wide receiver LaVon Brazill is 141 yards away from being the school's career leader in receiving yards. Brazill is also two receiving touchdowns away from holding the single-season mark.
