Ohio State Robbery
< < Back toPolice are looking for a man who robbed an Ohio State University employee at gunpoint in the basement of a campus building.
University police Capt. David Rose says the male staffer was robbed of cash at about 3:40 p.m. Tuesday in a public building that houses the offices of legal affairs, student affairs and student judicial affairs and the student housing legal clinic.
No one was hurt.
Rose says police issued text and voicemail alerts through a campus emergency system and will update the university's emergency phone line and web site as the investigation continues.
He says investigators searched the building while some employees secured themselves in offices and others were assisted outside.
University and Columbus police had determined within an hour that the robber had left the area.
