Tuition Could Go Up At WVU Parkersburg
< < Back toThe 2012-2013 academic year could be more expensive for students at West Virginia University at Parkersburg.
The school's Board of Governors voted Wednesday to raise tuition by 10 percent.
If the state Council for Community and Technical College Education approves the increase, students seeking a baccalaureate degree would pay an additional $314 for the year.
Students seeking a certificate or associate degree would pay $220 more for the year.
Chief Financial Officer Vincent Mensah says the increase is needed to meet rising costs.
He says WVU-Parkersburg's tuition would still be among the lowest in the state.
