Yesterday, WOUB News reported the findings of a new study that says art and cultural events generated more than 700 jobs in Athens County during 2010 and had an economic impact of more than $24 million.

Public presentations of the Arts and Economic Prosperity IV Study will be held at Stuart’s Opera House in Nelsonville on Tuesday, July 10 and ARTS/West in Athens on Thursday, July 12. Both meetings will take place at 6 p.m.

Recently, the Athens Government Channel produced a video about the study, detailing the cultural and economic impact of the arts in Athens County (see above).
