Ohio Freshman Angela Codian Named MAC Women’s Golfer of the Week

Ohio freshman Angela Codian was named the MAC Women’s Golfer of the Week on Wednesday. She led Ohio to a 15th place finish at the at 2012 Nittany Lion Invitational. Codian tied for 15th place in the individual standings at the tournament.

Codian has the best stroke average in the Mid-American Conference as a freshman. She is averaging 75.88 strokes per round. The freshman recorded scores of 73, 75 and 75 to end the tournament with a final score of 223, which was good enough for seven strokes over par.
 
Last week marked the third straight week Codian lead the Bobcats in scoring; she had the best score on the team by 16 strokes in the Nittany Lion Invitational. Codian shot seven birdies and 16 pars in the tournament.
