The Jim Christian led Ohio Men’s Basketball team is off to a hot start both on and off the court. The ‘Cats received their second official signing today with Holy Cross High School senior power forward Antonio Campbell who signed his National Letter of Intent today.

The signing was confirmed by the school’s athletic department, who says a formal signing ceremony will be held Friday.

Campbell a 6-foot-9 inch 245 pound senior, joins Walnut Hills High School guard D.J. Wingfield as the first official signings to the 2013 class.

Campbell chose Ohio over offers from nine other schools including Bowling Green, Kent St and Wright St and was receiving interest from schools such as West Virginia, Xavier Dayton and Butler among others.

At 6-foot-9, Campbell has a dominating post presence and likes to play below the hoop. With senior forwards Ivo Baltic and Reggie Keely set to graduate this year, Campbell is a great addition to a team that sometimes struggles in the post.

Campbell will be joined by fellow forward Treg Setty on the court next season. Setty is currently on the ‘Cats roster but after transferring from Southern Illinois is forced to sit out this season due to NCAA regulations.
