Region Under A Winter Weather Advisory

UPDATE 1/25/13 @ 11:00 a.m. Drivers are urged to use caution throughout the day as snow showers move into the Southeast Ohio region.

The Lancaster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reports at least of half a dozen accidents in Fairfield County Friday morning.  Roads conditions are described as slick and icy.

Drivers are urged to use caution and take extra travel time as necessary.  Updated traffic conditions are available at OHgo.com.

Parts of Southeast Ohio, including Athens County, are under a winter weather advisory until 7 p.m. Friday.

According to the National Weather Service, Athens, Lawrence, Perry, Morgan, Washington, Jackson, Vinton, Meigs and Gallia counties are all included in the advisory.

Affected areas could see between two and five inches of snow.


Parts of Southeast Ohio, including Athens County, will be under a winter weather advisory for snow starting Friday morning.

According to the National Weather Service, Athens, Lawrence, Perry, Morgan, Washington, Jackson, Vinton, Meigs and Gallia counties are all included in the advisory, which begins 8 a.m. Friday and lasts until 7 p.m.

Affected areas could see between two and five inches of snow.
