Ohio Football: Belmont County Athlete To Walk On
< < Back toA Belmont County high school athlete is joining the Ohio Bobcats football team in the fall.
St. Clairsville wide receiver/cornerback Jerrid Marhefka has accepted a walk-on position to play wide receiver for the Bobcats.
Marhefka led his team to a 15-1 record in his senior season and an appearance in the Division IV state final.
In that 46-36 loss to Clinton-Massie, Marhefka set an Ohio state final record with 272 yards receiving on nine catches and had four receiving touchdowns.
Marhefka also played basketball and ran track at St. Clairsville.
