Storm Destroys Drive-In Screen, Gas Station
< < Back toAuthorities are starting to assess the damage from storms that swept through Ohio.
Strong winds near Toledo toppled a drive-in movie screen and crushed a gas station canopy Sunday night.
Several buildings in a light industrial park also sustained damaged just south on the city.
So far, there are no reports of significant injuries.
State officials say the National Weather Service will visit areas of Ohio to determine whether the damage was caused by straight-line winds or a tornado.
More than 23,000 customers in mostly northern and central Ohio were still without power early Monday after a strong storm system rolled through the state.
The storm that tore through the Midwest also blew down power lines and damaged the rectory at a church in northwest Ohio's Putnam County.
