OU Center For Entrepreneurship Finalist For Best Program In U.S.
< < Back toThe Center for Entrepreneurship, a partnership of the Ohio University College of Business and the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs, has been named a finalist for the 2014 Outstanding Emerging Entrepreneurship Program by the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
“We are proud to have our efforts in developing an internationally competitive program for entrepreneurial studies recognized by such a prestigious body,” said Lynn Gellermann, executive director of the Center for Entrepreneurship. “We work hard to produce ideas and innovations that transform lives and create economic opportunities far beyond the southeast Ohio region. It is exciting to have that contribution recognized.”
As a finalist, the Center for Entrepreneurship will present at the USASBE Conference in Fort Worth, Texas in January. Other finalists in this category include Saint Joseph’s University, University of Tampa, and University of Southern Indiana.
“The Excellence in Entrepreneurship Education Awards are extraordinarily competitive,” said Luke Pittaway, director of the Center for Entrepreneurship.
“It is an honor to be recognized out of the hundreds of colleges and universities represented by the USASBE. We are looking forward to raising the profile of this program further, and supporting initiatives that showcase the excellent work of our faculty and students and the vision of the two partner colleges.”
