Ferguson Leads Ohio On MAC Day 2

Ohio swimming and diving looked to improve its ranking in the second day of the Mid-American Conference tournament. Addy Ferguson led her teammates with two top finishes at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.

Ferguson out-swam her competitors in the 100-yard butterfly, finishing first with a time of 53.48. She was followed into the wall by teammate Haley Clark two seconds later, earning her eighth place in the race.

Ferguson continued her outstanding performance with another first place in the 100-yard backstroke. She was the lone Bobcat to place in the event finals, dominating the race with a whole second between her and second. She clocked in at 53.1 seconds.

Ohio put on a strong performance in the three-meter dive competition, with Kristin Capcik taking second place with a score of 321.15. Following right behind her were teammates Morgan Srail and Mary Rose Hillstrom, taking third and fourth respectively.

The ‘Cats will look to improve upon their seventh place score of 240 in Sunday’s final day of competition. Toledo is the only team behind Ohio, trailing by six points.
