ITS Day Teaches Students Financial and Computer Information

Ohio University's School of Information and Telecommunication Systems presented information about security on Thursday.
The school's annual ITS day was held in Baker Center Conference Rooms.

The series titled, "Security Matters," aimed to inform and educate students about computer and financial safety by featuring various speakers and panelists. Speakers and panelists were actively discussing innovations taking place within the rapidly changing telecommunications industry.

Victor Paini, the Technology Director at The Huntington National Bank spoke about denial service attacks and their impact on the financial service industry. Paini advises that people keep their computers up to date with the latest anti-virus technology and to watch for anomalies in bank accounts.

The featured speakers were from various organnizations including AT&T, Huntington National Bank, Airwatch, Nexusist, Mobile Strategist, Nationwide Insurance, and Frontier Communications. Thursday's events concluded with the Student Awards Banquet at the OU Inn Ballroom.
