70th Ohio Annual Exhibition Deadline Extended
< < Back toThe Zanesville Museum of Art’s 70th Ohio Annual Exhibition has extended its deadline for receiving entries until Aug. 15.
The Ohio Annual is a competitive, juried exhibition open to all Ohio artists. Formely the Zanesville Museum of Art’s May Show, the exhibition has been expanded from a regional show to state-wide.
The Museum’s mission for contemporary art exhibitions is to promote and present the high quality works created by Ohio artists and craftspersons.
The Ohio Annual is an opportunity to exhibit in the context of far-ranging media and themes. There are cash awards, including a $750 Best-of-Show Award. Visit www.zanesvilleart.org or the Zanesville Museum of Art to pick up a copy of the prospectus.
The 2014 Juror will be Edward Pauley. Currently the director of the Kennedy Museum of Art at Ohio University, Pauley has juried numerous exhibitions including, Athens Voices USA '13.
Pauley, who holds an M.F.A. in painting from Ohio University, has served as president/CEO of Plains Art Museum in Fargo, N.D., as well as executive director and curator of the Cultural Center of Fine Art in Parkersburg, W.Va.
The Zanesville Museum of Art is located at 620 Military Road in Zanesville, Ohio. Current hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursdays and closed Sunday-Tuesday.
