Family Of Man Fatally Shot At Walmart Seeks Info
< < Back toFamily members of a man fatally shot by police at a southwestern Ohio Wal-Mart store are again asking for public release of the video surveillance.
The family's attorney will hold a news conference Tuesday to discuss their renewed requests for public release of the video and answers to other questions about the shooting of 21-year-old John Crawford III. Crawford was shot Aug. 5 in the Dayton suburb of Beavercreek. His family members say they disagree with any preliminary suggestion that the shooting was justified.
Police have said Crawford was shot after he didn't drop an air rifle when instructed to do so by Beavercreek police.
The family was shown some of the video. Ohio's attorney general has said it is part of an ongoing investigation and isn't being released publicly.
