Six WV Community Health Groups Get Federal Grants
< < Back toSix community health groups in West Virginia will receive nearly $1.5 million in federal funding to support facility improvements for patient-centered medical homes.
U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Burwell announced the funding this week through the Affordable Care Act.
The grant recipients are Community Care of West Virginia in Rock Cave, Valley Health Care in Mill Creek, Womencare in Scott Depot and Monongahela Valley Association of Health Centers in Fairmont, the Lincoln County Primary Care Center and Huntington-based Valley Health Systems.
Nationally, more than $35 million was awarded to 147 health centers in 44 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
