1) Jackson Ironmen (9-0, 3-0) | Last week’s ranking: 1

With a 33-21 victory on Friday, Jackson has now beaten Ironton in the teams’ last three games, a feat it has not accomplished since 1910-1911. With just one more game remaining against Gallia Academy, the Ironmen look to spoil the Blue Devils’ senior night and finish the regular season with a perfect record for the first time since 2011.

2) Logan Chieftains (4-5, 2-1) | Last week’s ranking: 3

This has been a season to forget for last year’s SEOAL champion but the Chieftains still have a chance to break even at .500 if they pick up a conference win over the struggling Warren Warriors. Logan quarterback Lane Little, who was ejected from last week’s game for kicking a Gallia Academy player, is not expected to play and his backup will most likely be wide receiver Chance Cox, who finished the game at quarterback for the Chieftains last week.

3) Gallia Academy Blue Devils (4-5, 2-1) | Last week’s ranking: 2

The Blue Devils 28-7 loss to Logan hurt. However, the Blue Devils are gunning to be a spoiler on Halloween night as they go up against the undefeated Jackson Ironmen.

4) Portsmouth Trojans (2-7, 1-3) | Last week’s ranking: 4

The Trojans defeated Warren 54-43 on Friday, marking the Trojans’ first win in the conference play. Portsmouth’s 54 points are the most it has scored all season but their defense remained unimpressive against the Warriors, who only have one win this year.

5) Warren Warriors (1-8, 0-3) | Last week’s rankings: 5

Warren’s loss to Portsmouth last week solidified their spot in the bottom of the conference and the Warriors remain without a single conference win. The 54 points scored by the Trojans are the most points Warren has given up to a conference opponent this season and is the fourth time that Warriors have given up 40 or more points.
