10-Year-Old YouTube Sensation To Perform At ARTS/West< < Back to
Ten-year-old YouTube sensation Emi Sunshine will perform an eclectic mix of Americana, blues and gospel at ARTS/West on Wednesday, Nov. 19.
The singer-songwriter’s Appalachian ballads, hymns and self-penned originals have drawn inspiration from artists such as Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris.
Hailing from Madisonville, Tennessee, Sunshine regularly performs a mix of her own songs while also covering some of her favorite singers. More than two million people have viewed her YouTube videos.
Opening for Sunshine on Wednesday are Athens' own brothers Emerson & Seeder. Like Emi Sunshine, they started writing and performing their own original material at a young age.
The performance will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are priced on a sliding scale from $15-$20 for adults, $10 for seniors and children 16 and under, and are available at ARTS/West and Blue Eagle Music in Athens.
