Ohio Football’s Bowl Streak Stops At Five As ‘Cats Not Selected For Postseason in 2014< < Back to
With the regular season now over in college football, postseason matchups were announced today, and for the first time since 2008, Ohio won't be playing in the postseason.
The Mid-American Conference officially announced their postseason teams and lineup, and the Bobcats were not listed.
It was one of the nation's longest streaks, as Ohio, who finished 6-6 overall this season, was one of just 21 teams in the FBS to play in five straight bowl games heading into this season and were 2-3 in those games.
It's now officially the end of the road for the Bobcats' seniors, and the start of a new season for the underclassmen, as they will get the next month of winter break off before beginning winter conditioning in January.
