1.) Meigs Marauders 2-0 (0-0) | Last rank: 5 | Next opponent: @ Logan

Meigs is now the top dog in the TVC-Ohio after an impressive 42-27 victory over Amanda-Clearcreek. The one-two punch of Kaileb Sheets and Cody Bartrum continue to give opposing defenses serious headaches.

2.) River Valley Raiders 2-0 (0-0) | Last rank: 4 | Next opponent: @ Eastern

The Raider defense is arguably one of the best within the conference after allowing only 13 points through its first two games. A win this week against Eastern, combined with a Meigs loss, would leave River Valley as the conference’s lone undefeated team.

3.) Nelsonville-York Buckeyes 1-1 (0-0) | Last rank: 1 | Next opponent: Vs. Liberty Central

After an impressive win over Trimble in week one, the Buckeyes took a step back with a heart breaking 27-26 overtime loss to Newark Catholic. Despite this setback, Nelsonville-York still has the look of a title-winning team.

4.) Athens Bulldogs 0-2 (0-0) | Last week: 3 | Next opponent: @ Warren

The offensive firepower Athens exhibited in week one went silent during its week two loss to Zanesville 55-0. Although both defensive and offensive issues plague Athens, a rigorous non-conference schedule push the Bulldogs towards mid-season form faster than anticipated.

5.) Alexander Spartans 1-1 (0-0) | Last week: 2 | Next opponent: @ Harvest Prep

The Alexander offense went cold last week, only mustering up three points against Chesapeake. However, Harvest Prep, Alexander’s next opponent, has failed to keep opponents under 30 points through its first two games.

6.) Wellston Rockets 1-1 (0-0) | Last week: 6 | Next opponent: @ Fairfield Union

After losing their first game to a tough Jackson squad, Wellston responded with a dominant 48-12 victory over Huntington that should provide the team with momentum moving forward.

7.) Vinton County Vikings 0-2 (0-0) | Last week: 7 | Next opponent: Fairfield Union

Vinton County’s offense continues to struggle, compiling only eight points through its first two games.
